Now I realize that I have done this in opposite order, wedding first, then invite but what can I say?! Sometimes designers don’t think logically and in my defense, November was a hectic month. Glad to welcome in December! Anyways, the cover of the invite.
The whole wedding has a rustic elegance theme, easygoing yet sophisticated. The border was a free download available here.
When you open, on the top is the wedding announcement, and bottom a verse from the Bible
Mousier Jack wanted to be included in the shot of the announcement (cats can go anywhere, its so weird)
The flap with the verse then flips over and underneath is the directions, the flap reveals the last quarter which is the RSVP card
I made the little maps in Illustrator detailing the ceremony and reception sites
And, as you can see, the RSVP card unfolds and the entire sheet is a standard 8.5×11 size, a fact which kept cost down and was easy to produce, yet the layout takes it away from the standard look.
Out of the four creases, two are simply scored and folded, one cut all the way through and one perforated so the postcard can be easily ripped out
Fill out RSVP card accordingly
and Mail in!
Well that is my invite design for Bekah and Chad’s wedding! Let me know if you are getting married soon ;)
p.s. here are the tags we did fo go over the neck of the champagne bottle, aren’t they cute!
