My Easter dress
I’ve been dying to get my hands on something of the little animal print style for a little while now. I kept waffling about getting this fox shirt from anthro. (sold out now) But the price tag just didn’t jive with my frugal sensibilities. But lo and behold…the chance to make my dreams came true when someone from eShakti contacted me (ya, little ol’ me) about doing a blogger review! eShakti is a website that offeres custom sized dresses, tops and skirts and also specializes in bridesmaid dresses. Oversized Cross-stitch Art
Doing the mantle is both my achilles heel and personal challenge. I was pretty proud of myself for knocking this one out without too many tears last weekend. Not going to lie though, the bulletin board was basically cast into my lap, so the hard/expensive part was done. One of the dealers at Antique plaza got rid of it, I saw it and scooped it up out of the alley. My Fall Mantle
I love fall, and despite my love for it, I was stuck in a rut for redoing our mantle. It’s always my nemesis…Although I loved it, I knew it was time for a update. I wanted to go with a less chaotic-eclectic but still quirky look. I wanted a main piece of artwork, but wasn’t sure what. Then I got some heavy twine in these orange shades from a yard sale this weekend. (25 cents each!) I wrapped them around an Ikea mirror I had laying around and voila! Instant art.
