Just posted this at the blog.antiqueplazamesa.com but figured I’d just post it here too! So at the plaza we recently we had a lot of old lampshade frames, I used one shown here for the ruler lampshade project. They ended up selling the entire lot to some fellow antique dealers Modern Manor. I was told they were going to use them for decor but we didn’t know how, then lo and behold, I was going through my daily blog roll in reader and came across this post from Dream book design (one of my favorite blogs btw). Which talks about these bears made from the old upholstery on mid century furniture.
And look what they made the display out of?! the lamp shades! (I hear they used others on the ceiling too, can’t wait to see for myself)
I think they turned out great, and It’s really exciting to see things reused, repurposed and re-invented to be more awesome! I haven’t made the trek down there to see them for myself but I plan to. I hope all of your Holiday plans are going well and names are getting crossed off the shopping list!
Cheers
