This wedding was one of firsts for me. First time Maid of Honor, First time being 21 and in a wedding, First time doing the amount of decor and print material. All good things :) And the first time making wedding bouquets! I’ll be honest, I was scared. But Rebekah (the bride) and Stefi, (bridesmaid and married last year) had experience. So Thursday night after the rehearsal we headed to the house and began the process! I don’t have any pictures of the making. That required both hands and a straw in my sangria… But I do have the after.
They turned out good eh? We used hydrangeas which were white with a green tint, White roses and little green felt flowers, we rubber-banded them together, wrapped with floral tape and then wrapped twine around the stems.
You can kinda see in this one, what the handle looks like. I’m kicking myself for not wearing the designer/blogger hat at the wedding! I do know that Tara of keatorphoto captured all the moments and details. I’m just impatient :) These flowers were put together by the amazing bride for the aisle in the church!
Again with the twine, You’d think I’d be tired of it, but I’m just thinking rustic Christmas instead! These jars were on the altar behind the couple, I like the simplicity of them in contrast to the church.
On the head table we had jars with rocks in the bottom to hold the bouquets and give our table some color.
It really turned out fabulously! I hope to show you much, much more!
